Good hygiene practices, attention to detail and the ability to follow food-safety procedures are essential. Previous commercial kitchen or stewarding experience is helpful but may not be essential. Company Info

Cooinda Lodge Kakadu is a remote tourism and hospitality destination in Kakadu National Park, near Jabiru in Australia's Northern Territory. The property provides accommodation, food and beverage services, tours and access to some of the region's most significant natural and cultural attractions, including wetlands, wildlife and Aboriginal heritage sites. Cooinda is associated with Accor's hospitality operations and serves leisure travellers, tour groups and visitors exploring Kakadu. Work at the lodge combines hotel service with an outback environment, often requiring flexibility, teamwork and a strong focus on guest experience. Due to its remote setting, employees may have access to staff accommodation and other employment benefits, subject to the specific contract. The workplace can offer valuable experience in resort, tourism and regional hospitality operations.

Destination Guide

Australia is a large island continent with job opportunities in hospitality, tourism, healthcare, construction, agriculture, technology and mining. Remote destinations such as Kakadu often recruit kitchen, housekeeping, maintenance and guest-service staff, while major cities offer broader career options. Australian culture is generally informal, multicultural and strongly focused on workplace safety, fairness and work-life balance. Lifestyle varies from busy cities and beaches to quiet regional communities and outdoor living. Kakadu is hot, seasonal and remote, so reliable transport, sun protection and respect for Aboriginal culture and the environment are important. Visa options may include a Working Holiday visa for eligible young travellers, employer-sponsored visas, skilled visas and student visas with work rights. Check current requirements with the Department of Home Affairs. Relocating to Cooinda usually requires planning for flights, accommodation, limited shopping and long distances between services.
