Company Info

Cooinda Lodge Kakadu is a remote tourism and accommodation operation in Kakadu National Park, Northern Territory, Australia. The property provides lodge rooms, safari-style accommodation, camping facilities, dining, tours and visitor services for guests exploring Kakadu’s wetlands, escarpments and Indigenous cultural sites. It operates within the Accor network, a major international hospitality group with hotels, resorts and tourism properties worldwide. Working at Cooinda involves supporting a seasonal, nature-based destination where reliable facilities and friendly service are essential. Because of its remote location, the role can offer a distinctive lifestyle, but employees should be prepared for hot weather, limited nearby services and a strong focus on teamwork, safety and self-sufficiency.

Destination Guide

Australia offers hospitality, tourism, maintenance and resort jobs in cities, regional towns and remote destinations such as Kakadu. The culture is generally informal, practical and multicultural, with emphasis on safety, punctuality and respectful teamwork. Kakadu provides an outdoor lifestyle with wildlife, wetlands, hiking and strong Aboriginal cultural heritage, although services and entertainment are limited compared with major cities. Remote employers may provide staff accommodation, meals or transport, but applicants should confirm these benefits, costs and availability before relocating. Overseas workers usually need an appropriate visa, such as a Working Holiday visa, employer-sponsored visa or another work-authorised pathway. Visa conditions vary by nationality, age, occupation and employer. Relocating to Cooinda requires planning for travel, warm tropical conditions, essential supplies, banking, healthcare access and reliable transport. A valid work right, suitable insurance and a current driver’s licence are valuable.
