Destination Guide

The Philippines is an archipelago with strong hospitality opportunities in Manila, Cebu, Boracay, Palawan, Davao and other resort destinations. Hotels, restaurants, cruise operations and catering businesses regularly seek chefs, especially candidates with international, luxury-hotel or high-volume kitchen experience. Filipino culture is friendly, family-oriented and community-minded, while English is widely used in workplaces. Lifestyle varies from busy urban living to relaxed beach and provincial communities; costs are generally lower than in many Western countries, though Manila and major resorts can be expensive. Foreign workers usually need an employer-sponsored work permit and appropriate visa, commonly arranged with assistance from the hiring company. Candidates should confirm accommodation, service charge, healthcare, taxes, contract terms and relocation support before accepting an offer.
