Job Description

The Events Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering conferences, weddings, meetings, banquets, and other events at Shangri-La in the Philippines. Requirements typically include a degree or diploma in hospitality, tourism, business, or a related field, together with several years of experience in hotel events, catering, or conference operations. Strong communication, negotiation, budgeting, organization, and customer-service skills are essential. The successful candidate is expected to manage client relationships, prepare proposals and contracts, coordinate with hotel departments and suppliers, monitor event details and budgets, and ensure smooth execution from planning through completion. Flexibility, professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to work evenings, weekends, and under pressure are also important.
