Job Description

The Indian Chef is responsible for preparing authentic Indian dishes, maintaining consistent taste and presentation, managing food preparation, and following hygiene and food-safety standards. Candidates should have professional Indian cuisine experience, strong knowledge of spices, cooking methods, menu planning, and kitchen operations. Experience in a luxury hotel or international restaurant is preferred. The successful candidate is expected to work efficiently in a busy environment, control food costs and wastage, maintain a clean workstation, support junior colleagues, and deliver high-quality meals that meet Shangri-La standards. Flexibility for shifts, weekends, and public holidays is essential. Good teamwork, discipline, communication skills, and a genuine passion for Indian cuisine are also expected.
