Destination Guide

The Philippines offers hospitality opportunities in Manila, Cebu, Boracay, Palawan, Davao, and other tourism destinations. Hotels, resorts, restaurants, cruise-related businesses, and catering companies regularly recruit chefs, service staff, housekeeping teams, and supervisors. Filipino culture is friendly, family-oriented, and community-minded, with English widely used in workplaces. Lifestyle varies from busy urban living in Manila to a more relaxed beach setting in Cebu, Boracay, or Palawan. Living costs are generally lower than in many Western countries, although central Manila and popular resort areas can be expensive. Foreign nationals normally need an employer-sponsored work permit and a 9(g) work visa; requirements should be confirmed with the employer and Philippine immigration authorities. Relocating candidates should budget for housing, transport, health insurance, document processing, and flights, and should confirm whether accommodation, meals, and relocation assistance are included.
