The group serves leisure and business travellers, meetings and events clients, and long-term luxury customers. Hong Kong offers strong opportunities in hospitality, luxury retail, finance, technology, aviation, events and marketing communications. The city combines international business culture with Cantonese traditions, excellent dining, festivals and a fast-paced urban lifestyle. Public transport is highly efficient, and beaches, hiking trails and outlying islands provide easy escapes from the busy centre. Housing can be expensive, particularly on Hong Kong Island and in Kowloon, so many professionals compare neighbourhoods carefully or consider the New Territories. International schools and private healthcare are widely available, although costs can be significant. Foreign professionals generally need an employment visa sponsored by a Hong Kong employer, with approval depending on qualifications, experience and the availability of a genuine role. Employers often assist with visa applications and relocation. Cantonese is valuable for daily life, while English is widely used in business; Mandarin can also be useful.
