Destination Guide

Singapore is a highly developed island city-state and a major centre for hospitality, tourism, finance, technology, healthcare, and international business. Hotel professionals can find opportunities in luxury resorts, city hotels, restaurants, events, aviation, and attractions. The culture is multicultural, with English widely used alongside Mandarin, Malay, and Tamil. Life is convenient and safe, though housing and daily expenses can be high. Public transport is excellent, and the climate is hot and humid year-round with frequent rain. Foreign employees generally need an employer-sponsored work pass, such as an Employment Pass or S Pass; eligibility depends on salary, qualifications, experience, and government assessment. Employers commonly support the application, but approval is not guaranteed. Candidates should budget for accommodation, healthcare, transport, and relocation costs before moving.
