The successful candidate is expected to prepare accurate management reporting, monitor risk and control obligations, coordinate governance forums, identify emerging issues, and provide clear insights to senior leaders. Strong analytical, communication, organisation, and influencing skills are important, along with the ability to manage multiple deadlines, work independently, and improve reporting processes. Familiarity with enterprise risk frameworks, audit requirements, and data tools is advantageous.

The Philippines offers strong opportunities in banking, shared services, technology, finance, customer operations, risk, and professional services, especially in Metro Manila, Cebu, and major business districts. Filipino culture is generally warm, family-oriented, community-minded, and English-friendly, making workplace integration relatively accessible for international professionals. Manila provides extensive dining, shopping, entertainment, and transport links, while Cebu and other islands offer a more relaxed lifestyle, beaches, and lower living costs. International employees normally need an appropriate work visa or permit sponsored or supported by their employer; requirements vary by nationality and contract, so confirmation with ANZ and Philippine immigration authorities is essential. Relocating workers should budget for housing, commuting, healthcare, insurance, and occasional traffic-related delays. Researching neighbourhoods near the workplace, tax obligations, local banking, and health coverage before arrival is advisable.
