Job Description

The Fruit and Veg Manager is responsible for running the fresh produce department, maintaining excellent presentation, ordering and replenishing stock, controlling waste, checking quality and ensuring food-safety standards are followed. The role also involves supervising and coaching team members, managing rosters, monitoring sales and meeting customer-service expectations. Candidates should ideally have supermarket, grocery or fresh-produce experience, strong organisational and communication skills, and the ability to lead a team in a busy retail environment. A practical, hands-on approach, attention to detail, sound commercial awareness and flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays are expected.
