Job Description

The Economic Crime Advisor supports Barclays in preventing financial crime, including money laundering, fraud, bribery, corruption and terrorist financing. Responsibilities may include reviewing alerts and customer activity, conducting enhanced due diligence, assessing risk, documenting investigations, escalating suspicious findings and providing advice to business teams. Candidates are expected to have experience in financial crime compliance, investigations, customer due diligence or a related banking environment. Strong analytical, research and report-writing skills are important, along with sound judgment, attention to detail and the ability to explain complex issues clearly. Knowledge of UK regulations, sanctions, anti-money-laundering controls and relevant industry guidance is advantageous. The role also requires integrity, confidentiality, teamwork and the confidence to make risk-based decisions in a regulated organisation.
