Job Description

The Equipment Operative supports the safe and efficient movement of parcels and freight using warehouse equipment and handling systems. Typical duties include loading and unloading shipments, operating approved equipment, scanning or sorting packages, checking freight condition, maintaining work areas and following safety procedures. Candidates are expected to be physically fit, reliable, safety-conscious and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, sometimes on rotating shifts, early mornings or nights. Previous warehouse, freight-handling or equipment experience is useful, while required training and site-specific qualifications may be provided. Good teamwork, attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions are important.
