Sri Lanka is an island nation with growing opportunities in apparel manufacturing, sustainability, technology, tourism, finance, logistics, engineering, and shared services. Colombo is the main commercial centre and offers the widest range of professional roles, while industrial zones and manufacturing facilities are found in areas such as Katunayake, Biyagama, and the central and southern regions. The culture is diverse and welcoming, shaped by Sinhalese, Tamil, Muslim, and colonial influences. Life combines busy cities with beaches, mountains, wildlife, and historic towns. Living costs are generally lower than in many international business hubs, although housing and imported goods can be expensive.
