Public Area Attendant

Job Description

The Public Area Attendant maintains the cleanliness, appearance and hygiene of hotel public areas such as lobbies, corridors, restrooms, lifts and guest facilities. Requirements typically include previous hotel or cleaning experience, basic English or Malay communication skills, physical stamina, attention to detail and the ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays. The successful candidate is expected to follow Shangri-La’s grooming, safety and sanitation standards, respond courteously to guests, report maintenance issues promptly and work cooperatively with the Housekeeping team. Training may be provided, although experience in a luxury hotel or resort is an advantage.
