Security Officer

Job Description

The Security Officer is responsible for protecting guests, employees, hotel property and company assets. Typical duties include monitoring access points and surveillance systems, conducting patrols, responding to incidents, preparing reports, assisting with emergencies and enforcing hotel security procedures. Candidates should generally have relevant security experience, good physical fitness, sound judgment and strong communication skills. A valid Hong Kong security personnel permit or the ability to obtain one is normally required. Hospitality, customer-service and first-aid experience are advantageous. The successful candidate is expected to remain calm and professional, maintain confidentiality, work shifts including nights, weekends and public holidays, and provide courteous assistance to guests while following Shangri-La standards and local laws.
