Job Description

The Assistant Procurement Manager supports the hotel’s purchasing operations, including sourcing suppliers, negotiating prices, preparing purchase orders, monitoring deliveries and maintaining quality and cost controls. Candidates are typically expected to have a diploma or degree in procurement, supply chain, hospitality management or a related field, along with several years of purchasing experience, preferably in a hotel or resort. Strong negotiation, analytical, organizational and communication skills are important. Familiarity with procurement systems, inventory procedures, local supplier networks and Malaysian purchasing regulations is beneficial. The successful candidate should be ethical, commercially aware, detail-oriented and able to work closely with finance, kitchens, engineering and other hotel departments.
