Job Description

The Security Officer is responsible for protecting guests, colleagues, property and hotel assets at Shangri-La in Hong Kong. Duties typically include monitoring surveillance systems, conducting patrols, controlling access, responding to incidents, preparing reports and assisting during emergencies. Candidates should have relevant security or hospitality experience, good communication skills, sound judgment and a professional appearance. Knowledge of first aid, fire safety and emergency procedures is advantageous. The role requires physical fitness, alertness, integrity and the ability to remain calm under pressure. Flexible availability for rotating shifts, overnight work, weekends and public holidays is normally expected. Cantonese, English and, ideally, Mandarin language skills are valuable in Hong Kong's international hotel environment.
