Candidates are generally expected to hold relevant beauty or massage therapy qualifications, possess practical spa experience and have strong knowledge of treatment procedures, hygiene and guest care. Good communication skills, a warm personality and a polished appearance are important. The successful candidate should be comfortable recommending suitable treatments and products, managing appointments, maintaining treatment rooms and following health and safety procedures. Flexibility to work shifts, weekends and public holidays is normally required. Experience in a luxury hotel or international spa, as well as recognised Singapore certification where applicable, would be an advantage.
