The Service Manager – F&B is responsible for overseeing daily restaurant, bar, banquet or room-service operations, ensuring high service standards and guest satisfaction. Company Info

Shangri-La is a leading luxury hospitality group founded in Hong Kong, operating hotels, resorts and residences across Asia, the Middle East, Europe, North America and other international markets. Its properties are known for personalised service, elegant surroundings, extensive dining facilities and a strong emphasis on genuine Asian hospitality. In Malaysia, Shangri-La operates several established city and resort properties, including hotels in Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Kota Kinabalu and other destinations. The company provides career opportunities in food and beverage, rooms, culinary operations, events, finance and hotel leadership. Employees typically work in multicultural environments with structured service standards, training programmes and opportunities for internal development. The role is likely to involve supporting the property’s food-and-beverage operation while representing Shangri-La’s service culture and commercial objectives.

Destination Guide

Malaysia offers varied relocation options rather than one single island lifestyle. Langkawi is a relaxed resort island with beaches, outdoor activities and hospitality jobs, while Penang combines a lively food scene, heritage culture and stronger urban amenities. Sabah and Sarawak on Borneo provide resort, nature-tourism and hotel opportunities, though transport can be less convenient. Hospitality professionals may find work in hotels, restaurants, events and tourism businesses, especially in major cities and established beach destinations. Local culture is multicultural, with Malay, Chinese, Indian and Indigenous traditions reflected in food, festivals and daily life. Living costs are generally moderate, although island resorts can be more expensive. Foreign employees normally need an employer-sponsored Employment Pass, with approval handled before starting work. Candidates should confirm accommodation, benefits, insurance, taxes and transport arrangements with Shangri-La, as resort postings may include staff housing or meals.
