Public Area Attendant

Job Description

The Public Area Attendant keeps hotel lobbies, corridors, elevators, restrooms, entrances and other shared areas clean, presentable and safe. Typical requirements include previous hotel or cleaning experience, basic understanding of cleaning products and equipment, physical stamina, attention to detail and the ability to work shifts, weekends and public holidays. Shangri-La expects candidates to be service-minded, reliable, well-groomed and courteous with guests and colleagues. The role also involves reporting maintenance issues, following health and safety procedures, replenishing supplies and maintaining the hotel’s cleanliness standards. Basic English or Malay communication skills are generally useful.
