Destination Guide

Indonesia offers hospitality opportunities across Bali, Java, Lombok, Batam, and other resort destinations, particularly in hotels, restaurants, wellness, events, and tourism services. Bali is the most internationally oriented island, with a relaxed lifestyle, tropical climate, strong expatriate community, and rich Hindu-Balinese culture. Daily life can be affordable outside major tourist areas, although housing in places such as Canggu, Seminyak, and Ubud may be expensive. Employees should respect local customs, religious ceremonies, dress expectations, and community traditions. Foreign workers normally require employer sponsorship and an appropriate work and stay permit, commonly arranged through the company; working on a tourist visa is not permitted. Before relocating, confirm salary, service charge, accommodation, meals, insurance, flights, taxes, and permit responsibility in writing. Healthcare and transport are strongest in major cities and tourist centers.
