Destination Guide

Australia offers event, hotel and tourism opportunities in cities including Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Cairns, with seasonal work also available in resorts and regional destinations. The culture is generally informal, diverse and outdoors-oriented, while hospitality workplaces remain professional and service-focused. Lifestyle options range from vibrant city living and beaches to national parks, wine regions and remote island resorts. Housing and transport costs can be high in Sydney, so relocation planning and budgeting are important. Overseas applicants usually need an appropriate work visa, such as an employer-sponsored visa, skilled visa or Working Holiday visa if eligible; requirements depend on nationality, age, occupation and sponsorship. Applicants should confirm current rules through the Australian Department of Home Affairs. Health insurance, tax registration and local banking arrangements should be organised before or soon after arrival.
