Company Info

Shangri-La Group is a leading luxury hospitality company founded in Hong Kong, with hotels, resorts and related properties across Asia, the Middle East, Europe, North America and other destinations. The group is known for warm Asian hospitality, high service standards and premium guest experiences. Its Hong Kong properties serve business and leisure travellers, offering accommodation, restaurants, banqueting, wellness facilities and event services. Shangri-La places strong emphasis on personalised service, employee development, teamwork and professional presentation. Staff may receive benefits such as meals, uniform provision, training, medical coverage and preferential rates at participating hotels, depending on the property and employment terms. Working for the group can provide useful experience in luxury hotel operations and opportunities for career progression within an international hospitality network.

Destination Guide

Hong Kong is a compact international city with strong opportunities in hotels, restaurants, tourism, retail, finance, technology and professional services. Hospitality employees can find work in luxury hotels, resorts, restaurants, clubs and event venues, particularly in Central, Tsim Sha Tsui, Admiralty, Causeway Bay and airport areas. The culture blends Cantonese traditions with international influences, and workplace communication commonly uses Cantonese and English, with Mandarin also valuable. Life is energetic and convenient, with excellent public transport, diverse food, shopping, hiking and nearby islands and beaches. Rent can be high, so many workers share accommodation or live in areas outside the city centre. Foreign nationals generally need an employer-sponsored work visa before starting employment; eligibility depends on qualifications, experience and a confirmed job offer. Relocation requires arranging housing, banking, insurance and an identity card after approval.
