Guest service professionals can find work in front office, reservations, food and beverage, events, and guest relations, particularly with international hotel groups. The culture is multicultural, with Malay, Chinese, Indian, Indigenous, and international influences; English is widely used in hospitality. Lifestyle costs vary, with Kuala Lumpur generally offering more urban conveniences and resort islands providing a slower, outdoor-focused environment.
