Security Officer

Job Description

The Security Officer helps protect guests, colleagues, hotel property and confidential information at Shangri-La in Hong Kong. Typical requirements include secondary education, relevant hotel or security experience, good physical fitness, alertness and professional communication skills. Candidates should be familiar with emergency procedures, access control, patrols, incident reporting, CCTV monitoring and basic first aid. A valid Hong Kong security personnel permit or the ability to obtain one is normally required. The successful candidate is expected to remain calm under pressure, handle incidents discreetly, provide courteous service, work shifts including nights and public holidays, and cooperate effectively with local authorities and hotel departments. Cantonese, English and conversational Putonghua are useful advantages.
