Job Description

The Security Officer/Senior Security Officer is responsible for protecting guests, colleagues, hotel property and confidential information at Shangri-La in Hong Kong. Duties typically include patrols, access control, CCTV monitoring, incident response, emergency assistance, report writing and enforcing hotel security procedures. Candidates should have relevant hotel, commercial or security experience; a valid Hong Kong security personnel permit is normally required. Senior applicants should demonstrate supervisory experience and sound knowledge of emergency and loss-prevention procedures. Good spoken Cantonese and English are valuable, with Mandarin an advantage. The role requires professional presentation, alertness, physical fitness, discretion, strong communication skills and flexibility to work rotating shifts, overnight duties, weekends and public holidays.
