Destination Guide

The Philippines offers employment opportunities in hotels, resorts, restaurants, events, tourism, business services, technology, healthcare, and education. Major career centers include Metro Manila, Cebu, Clark, and Davao, while Boracay, Palawan, and other resort islands provide seasonal opportunities in hospitality and guest services. Filipino culture is generally warm, family-oriented, community-minded, and English is widely used in workplaces. Lifestyle varies from fast-paced city living to relaxed beach communities, with relatively affordable food and transport outside central business districts. Foreign employees normally need an employer-sponsored work permit and appropriate visa, commonly involving Department of Labor and Employment approval and Bureau of Immigration processing.
