Destination Guide

Thailand offers strong opportunities in logistics, shared services, tourism, technology, customer support, and international business, especially in Bangkok, the Eastern Economic Corridor, Phuket, and Chiang Mai. Popular islands such as Phuket, Koh Samui, Koh Phangan, Koh Tao, and Koh Chang provide a relaxed lifestyle, beaches, outdoor activities, and established expatriate communities, though professional roles are more limited than in Bangkok. Thai culture values respect, politeness, community, and flexibility; English is common in international workplaces and tourist areas, while Thai is important for daily life. Living costs vary considerably, with islands usually charging more for housing and transport. Foreign employees generally need an employer-sponsored Non-Immigrant B visa and work permit before starting work. Relocating candidates should confirm benefits, housing, insurance, tax, and visa support directly with DHL.
