Destination Guide

Japan offers strong opportunities in logistics, manufacturing, technology, tourism, healthcare, and international business. Nagoya and the wider Chubu region are especially important for automotive, aerospace, industrial, and export-related employment. Japanese workplaces generally value punctuality, teamwork, respect for hierarchy, attention to detail, and relationship building. Life in Japan is safe, convenient, and supported by excellent public transport, though housing and daily costs are higher in major cities. Japanese ability significantly improves career options and everyday integration, while international companies may use English in selected roles. Foreign employees usually need an appropriate work visa sponsored by the employer; common routes include the Engineer/Specialist in Humanities/International Services visa and intra-company transfer status. Relocating typically involves securing housing, registering locally, arranging health insurance, and opening a bank account. Japan has four distinct seasons and many regional cultural and culinary experiences.
