The Network Security Engineer is responsible for protecting Metrobank’s networks, systems, and digital services from cyber threats. Typical requirements include a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; experience with firewalls, intrusion prevention systems, VPNs, network monitoring, and security incident response; and familiarity with security standards, vulnerability management, and network protocols. Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP Security, CompTIA Security+, or relevant cybersecurity credentials are advantageous. The candidate is expected to monitor infrastructure, investigate incidents, implement security controls, support audits, maintain documentation, and work closely with infrastructure and risk teams. Strong analytical, communication, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills are essential, along with a willingness to work on-call or outside regular hours when required.
