Job Description

The Cleaner is responsible for maintaining clean, hygienic and safe working areas across Royal Mail premises. Typical duties include cleaning offices, welfare facilities, operational spaces and shared areas; emptying bins; replenishing supplies; and following health, safety and hygiene procedures. Candidates should be reliable, punctual and physically able to stand, walk, bend and handle routine cleaning equipment. Previous cleaning experience is useful but may not be essential, as training is often provided. The role requires attention to detail, a responsible attitude, the ability to work independently and, where necessary, flexibility for early, late or weekend shifts. Candidates must follow site security requirements and work respectfully around colleagues, visitors and mail-handling operations.
