Company Info

Royal Mail Group is one of the United Kingdom’s best-known delivery and logistics organisations. Its operations include Royal Mail, which provides letter and parcel services, and international logistics business GLS. The group serves households, businesses and public-sector customers through a large network of processing centres, delivery offices, vehicles and frontline employees across the UK and internationally. Its work covers postal delivery, e-commerce logistics, parcels, freight and technology-enabled supply-chain services. Construction and infrastructure roles support the development, maintenance and improvement of the property and operational estate needed to keep these services running. Employees typically work in a large, structured environment where safety, service reliability, governance, cost control and transformation are important priorities.

Destination Guide

The United Kingdom offers opportunities in construction, infrastructure, logistics, engineering, technology, finance, healthcare and professional services, with especially strong markets in London, Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds, Bristol and Glasgow. British culture is generally polite, diverse and multicultural, with a strong emphasis on personal privacy, punctuality and clear workplace communication. Lifestyle options range from busy cities and historic towns to beaches, countryside and national parks. Living costs vary considerably; London and the southeast are usually the most expensive. Many overseas workers need a visa, commonly employer sponsorship under the Skilled Worker route, and must meet salary, English-language and occupation requirements. Irish citizens generally have broader work rights under the Common Travel Area. Relocating involves arranging accommodation, a National Insurance number, banking, healthcare registration and tax administration. Public transport is extensive in cities, while a car may be useful in rural areas.
