Parcelforce Collection & Delivery Driver

United Kingdom Royal Mail Group Approximately £25,000–£31,000 per year, depending on location, hours, experience, and overtime.*
Job Description

The Parcelforce Collection & Delivery Driver collects and delivers parcels safely and on time across an assigned area, while providing courteous customer service and completing required delivery records. Candidates typically need a valid UK driving licence, safe driving experience, good local-area knowledge, and the ability to handle parcels and work outdoors in changing weather. The role requires reliability, punctuality, physical fitness, good communication skills, and confidence working independently. Flexibility is important because working hours may include early starts, weekends, busy seasonal periods, and changing delivery demands. Previous courier, driving, logistics, or customer-service experience is useful, although training may be provided.

Company Info

Royal Mail Group is one of the United Kingdom’s best-known delivery and logistics organisations. It operates Royal Mail, which provides letters and parcel services, and Parcelforce Worldwide, its express parcel delivery business. The group serves households, businesses, retailers, and international customers through a nationwide network of delivery offices, vehicles, processing centres, and collection points. Its workforce supports the movement of millions of letters and parcels each working day, including time-sensitive and tracked deliveries. Royal Mail Group offers roles across driving, delivery, processing, engineering, technology, customer service, commercial operations, and management. Employees generally work in practical, fast-moving environments where safety, reliability, customer care, and meeting delivery targets are important. Parcelforce drivers contribute directly to the company’s service by collecting shipments and delivering them securely to homes and businesses.

Destination Guide

The United Kingdom offers opportunities in logistics, parcel delivery, warehousing, transport, healthcare, technology, construction, hospitality, and professional services. Its culture combines regional traditions, multicultural cities, historic communities, and a strong emphasis on punctuality and personal independence. Lifestyle varies from busy urban living in London, Manchester, Birmingham, or Glasgow to quieter coastal and rural areas. Public transport is widely available, though a car can be useful outside major cities. Most overseas workers need permission to work before arriving. A Skilled Worker visa normally requires an eligible sponsored job and an approved employer; routine delivery-driver roles may not qualify or offer sponsorship, so applicants should verify current rules with UK authorities. Relocation costs, rent, council tax, transport, and healthcare arrangements should be planned carefully. Employees also need the appropriate right-to-work documents and, for driving roles, a licence accepted in the UK.
