Destination Guide

Singapore is a compact, highly connected island city with strong opportunities in engineering, aerospace, defence, electronics, manufacturing, logistics, finance, technology, healthcare, and professional services. Workplace culture is generally structured, multicultural, and performance-oriented, with English widely used in business. The lifestyle is convenient and safe, supported by excellent public transport, diverse food, modern healthcare, shopping, parks, and international communities. Housing is expensive, especially near the city centre; renting a room or living farther from central districts can reduce costs. Foreign professionals normally need an employer-sponsored Employment Pass or S Pass, subject to salary, qualifications, and government approval. Relocating workers should arrange housing, medical insurance, banking, and tax registration after receiving approval. Singapore’s tropical climate is hot and humid year-round, with frequent rain. The island also offers easy access to Malaysia and other Asian destinations.
