Company Info

Seabourn is a luxury cruise brand operating intimate ocean and expedition vessels to destinations around the world. It is part of Holland America Group, within Carnival Corporation. Seabourn focuses on highly personalized service, refined dining, spacious accommodations and destination-focused experiences. Its ships typically carry fewer guests than mainstream cruise lines, allowing crew members to provide attentive, individualized hospitality. Culinary operations are an important part of the guest experience, with menus emphasizing premium ingredients, international cuisine and high presentation standards. Employees work in a multicultural onboard environment and normally live aboard ship during fixed contracts. Benefits and employment conditions vary by position, vessel and nationality, but may include accommodation, meals, travel arrangements and medical support while onboard. Seabourn recruits culinary professionals who can maintain luxury standards while working cooperatively and reliably in a demanding marine environment.

Destination Guide

Indonesia is an archipelago with strong opportunities in hospitality, tourism, restaurants, resorts and cruise-ship recruitment, especially in Bali, Jakarta, Batam, Lombok and the Riau Islands. Bali offers an international lifestyle, beaches and a large expatriate community, while Jakarta provides broader corporate and training opportunities. Indonesian culture values respect, family, community and religious diversity; customs differ between islands, so modest dress and local etiquette are important. Living costs can be affordable outside major tourist areas, although Bali’s popular districts are increasingly expensive. For an overseas cruise position, the employer normally provides guidance on medical checks, seaman documents, flights and any required transit or crew visas. Indonesian citizens should confirm passport validity, contract terms, insurance, vaccinations and tax obligations before departure. Crew generally do not relocate permanently to the ship’s operating country, but travel to the assigned port and live onboard for the contract.
