Receiving Attendant

Job Description

The Receiving Attendant accepts, checks and records deliveries of food, beverages, equipment and other hotel supplies. Requirements typically include previous experience in hotel receiving, stores, warehousing or a similar operational role; good numeracy and organisational skills; basic computer ability; and the capacity to safely lift and move goods. A current food-safety or manual-handling qualification may be advantageous. The successful candidate is expected to inspect deliveries for quality and quantity, verify invoices and purchase orders, maintain accurate receiving records, rotate and store products correctly, follow health and safety procedures, and communicate professionally with suppliers and hotel departments. Reliability, attention to detail, physical fitness and flexibility to work early mornings, weekends and public holidays are important.
