Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is not an island, but it offers strong hospitality employment opportunities in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah, especially in hotels, restaurants, resorts, tourism and events. The culture blends Emirati traditions with a large international workforce. Respectful dress, punctuality, modest public behavior and awareness of Islamic customs are important. Lifestyle can be modern and comfortable, although summer temperatures are extremely hot; air-conditioned accommodation and transport are common. Most overseas employees need an employer-sponsored employment visa, work permit, medical examination and Emirates ID. Employers often arrange accommodation, flights, transport, insurance and meals, but the written contract should be checked carefully. Fujairah offers a quieter coastal lifestyle, beaches and mountain scenery, while major cities provide more entertainment and career mobility. Employees should confirm salary, working hours, leave, gratuity and recruitment fees before relocating.
