Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is not an island but a Gulf federation offering strong opportunities in hospitality, tourism, construction, retail, aviation, technology and engineering. Dubai has a multinational population, modern infrastructure and an energetic lifestyle centered on beaches, shopping, dining, events and outdoor attractions. The culture combines Islamic traditions with an international business environment; modest dress and respectful behavior are expected, particularly during Ramadan and in public places. Summers are extremely hot, while winter is generally pleasant. Most foreign employees need an employment residence visa sponsored by their employer. The company commonly arranges work authorization, medical checks and an Emirates ID after arrival, although applicants should confirm the package in writing. Relocation costs, accommodation, transport, meals, health insurance, leave and return flights vary by contract. Dubai is convenient and safe, but rent and leisure expenses can be high, so candidates should compare the full benefits package with the stated salary.
