Company Info

JW Marriott Maldives Kaafu Atoll Island Resort is a luxury beachfront resort operated by Marriott International, one of the world’s largest hospitality companies. Located in the North Malé Atoll, the resort offers private villas, restaurants, wellness facilities and marine-based leisure activities in a secluded island setting. JW Marriott is positioned around refined service, thoughtful guest experiences and high-quality dining and accommodation. Employees work with international visitors and are expected to uphold Marriott’s service standards, professional presentation and commitment to genuine hospitality. As a remote island resort, the property generally provides staff accommodation, meals and selected employee benefits, subject to the employment offer and local regulations. The workplace is multicultural and service-focused, with opportunities to develop experience in luxury hospitality and progress within Marriott’s global hotel network.

Destination Guide

The Maldives offers hospitality opportunities across resorts, hotels, guesthouses, restaurants, diving centres, marine activities, wellness and engineering. Resort life is multicultural, structured and usually includes shared staff accommodation, meals, uniforms, transport and a service charge, although conditions vary by employer. Maldivian culture is strongly shaped by Islam, so modest dress and respect for local customs are important, especially on inhabited islands. Resort islands generally allow more relaxed tourist clothing, while alcohol is restricted to licensed resorts. Life can be beautiful but remote, with limited shopping and fewer entertainment choices than in Malé. Foreign employees normally need an employer-sponsored Employment Approval and work permit; the employer usually manages the application and related medical or immigration requirements. Confirm visa, contract, flights, accommodation, leave and insurance details before travelling. Malé is the main gateway, followed by speedboat or seaplane transfers depending on the resort.
