Company Info

Marriott International is one of the world’s largest hospitality companies, operating and franchising thousands of hotels and resorts across many countries. Its portfolio includes well-known brands serving luxury, premium and select-service markets. Marriott emphasizes thoughtful guest experiences, consistent operating standards, employee development and inclusive workplace practices. A Guest Services Manager at a Kyoto Marriott property would work within a globally recognized service culture while responding to the expectations of both domestic and international travelers. Responsibilities commonly involve collaboration across front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, concierge and management teams. Benefits and employment conditions vary by property and contract, but may include training, staff rates, meals, transportation support or other hotel-specific allowances. The exact operating company and package should be confirmed directly with the recruitment team.

Destination Guide

Japan offers hospitality opportunities in hotels, resorts, restaurants, tourism, transportation and language education, especially in Kyoto, Tokyo, Osaka, Okinawa and Hokkaido. The culture values punctuality, courtesy, cleanliness, teamwork and attention to detail. Life can be convenient and safe, with excellent public transport, though housing in major cities may be expensive and work environments can be formal. Kyoto provides rich history, temples, seasonal events and a calmer lifestyle, but competition for accommodation is high. Foreign workers generally need an appropriate work visa sponsored by an employer; hospitality positions may qualify under routes such as Specified Skilled Worker or Engineer/Specialist in Humanities/International Services, depending on duties and qualifications. Applicants should confirm eligibility, Japanese-language expectations, salary, housing, insurance and relocation support before accepting an offer. Registration, health insurance, pension and tax procedures are required after arrival.
