Job Description

The Demi Chef supports the kitchen team with food preparation, cooking, plating and maintaining consistent food quality. Typical requirements include relevant culinary training or kitchen experience, basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene, good knife skills, and the ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately. The successful candidate should be organised, physically fit, dependable and comfortable working shifts, weekends and public holidays. Marriott expects a team-oriented professional who maintains a clean workstation, controls food waste, meets service standards and works calmly during busy periods. Experience in a hotel or commercial kitchen is preferred, while a positive attitude and willingness to learn are important.
