Destination Guide

Thailand offers strong hospitality opportunities in Pattaya, Phuket, Koh Samui, Krabi, and other resort destinations, especially in hotels, restaurants, spas, diving, and tourism services. Pattaya is a lively coastal city rather than an island, with beaches, nightlife, shopping, and convenient access to Bangkok. Island life is generally warm, social, and relaxed, but resort work can involve long shifts, peak-season pressure, and modest starting wages. Thai culture values politeness, respect for elders, calm communication, and appropriate dress, particularly in temples and local communities. Foreign workers normally need an employer-sponsored Non-Immigrant B visa and a work permit before legally starting employment; requirements vary by nationality and contract. Relocation costs, accommodation, transport, health insurance, and visa fees should be confirmed with the employer. Learning basic Thai, budgeting for humid weather and travel, and checking contract terms carefully will make the move easier.
