Job Description

The Purchasing Agent supports hotel operations by sourcing, ordering, receiving, and tracking food, beverages, supplies, equipment, and other materials. Requirements typically include previous purchasing, procurement, inventory, or hotel operations experience; strong organization and negotiation skills; attention to detail; basic computer and purchasing-system proficiency; and good English communication. Knowledge of local suppliers, pricing, product quality, and inventory controls is valuable. The candidate is expected to obtain competitive quotations, maintain accurate purchase records, follow company approval and sustainability policies, coordinate with department heads and receiving teams, monitor deliveries, and build professional supplier relationships. Hospitality experience and familiarity with Marriott standards may be preferred.
