Destination Guide

Aruba offers work opportunities in hotels, restaurants, tourism, retail, transportation, watersports, and guest services. Its culture blends Dutch, Caribbean, Latin American, and international influences, with Papiamento, Dutch, English, and Spanish commonly heard. Life is sunny, relaxed, and outdoor-focused, with beaches, snorkeling, diving, windsurfing, music, and local festivals. Housing can be expensive and limited near resort areas, so applicants should confirm accommodation, transportation, meals, service charges, and working hours before accepting an offer. Foreign nationals generally need employer sponsorship and the appropriate work and residence permits; working on a tourist entry is not permitted. Employers usually guide successful candidates through immigration procedures, but approval is not automatic. Relocating workers should budget for deposits, health insurance, transportation, and document legalization, and verify all terms directly with Marriott and Aruba’s authorities.
