Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is a federation of seven emirates rather than an island, with Dubai and Abu Dhabi offering the largest concentration of hospitality, tourism, retail, aviation, marketing, and business opportunities. The culture combines Gulf traditions with a highly international population; modest professional dress, respect for religion, and awareness of local customs are important. Lifestyle is modern and convenient, with excellent public transport, shopping, beaches, restaurants, and year-round events, although summers are extremely hot. Employment normally requires an employer-sponsored residence and work visa, medical examination, Emirates ID, and official labor documentation. Interns should confirm whether the employer provides sponsorship, accommodation, meals, transport, insurance, or a stipend. Before relocating, budget for deposits, transportation, and initial living expenses. Dubai is generally safe, but laws regarding alcohol, public behavior, photography, and online communication should be followed carefully.
