Destination Guide

Malaysia offers varied opportunities in hotels, restaurants, tourism, retail, technology, manufacturing, and shared services. Subang Jaya is a well-connected urban area near Kuala Lumpur, with shopping centres, food courts, cafés, parks, hospitals, and public transport; nearby housing is generally more affordable than central Kuala Lumpur. Malaysian culture is multicultural, combining Malay, Chinese, Indian, Indigenous, and international influences. English is widely used in business and hospitality, while Malay is the national language. The lifestyle is warm, social, and food-centred, with tropical weather throughout the year and monsoon periods that vary by region. Foreign workers normally need an employer-sponsored employment pass or appropriate work permit before starting work; requirements depend on nationality, salary, and role, and the employer usually handles the application. Bring certified qualifications, passport documents, references, and sufficient savings for rent, deposits, transport, and initial living costs.
