Company Info

TA'AKTANA, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, Labuan Bajo, is a high-end Marriott-affiliated resort in Flores, Indonesia, near the gateway to Komodo National Park. The property combines luxury accommodation, wellness facilities, dining and curated experiences inspired by the landscapes, traditions and seafaring heritage of eastern Indonesia. As part of Marriott International’s Luxury Collection, it is designed for travelers seeking distinctive, locally connected stays rather than a standardized resort experience. The hotel’s guest-service teams help arrange island excursions, cultural activities, dining experiences, spa visits and private transportation. Employees work in an international hospitality environment where personalized service, cultural sensitivity, teamwork and attention to detail are especially important. The resort also offers opportunities to develop a career in luxury tourism while living in one of Indonesia’s fastest-growing destination regions.

Destination Guide

Labuan Bajo sits on Flores Island and serves as the main access point to Komodo National Park. Hospitality, tourism, marine excursions, restaurants, transport, wellness and retail provide the strongest local job opportunities, although experienced professionals may find fewer openings than in Bali or Jakarta. Daily life is relaxed and community-oriented, with strong Catholic and Indonesian cultural influences, local seafood, traditional markets and beautiful beaches. The climate is tropical, generally warm and dry, though water and electricity services can vary outside resort areas. Employees relocating from abroad normally need employer sponsorship and an appropriate Indonesian work and stay permit; working on a tourist visa is not permitted. Confirm visa arrangements, accommodation, insurance, tax obligations and flight access with the employer. Flores is more remote than Bali, so plan for limited international connections, higher costs for some imported goods and a quieter lifestyle focused on nature and outdoor activities.
