Kitchen Steward

Job Description

The Kitchen Steward supports the culinary team by washing dishes, pots, pans and kitchen equipment, keeping work areas clean, removing waste and following food-safety and hygiene procedures. The role may also involve receiving and storing supplies, cleaning floors and assisting chefs with basic preparation when required. Candidates are expected to be reliable, physically fit, organised and comfortable working in a fast-paced hospitality environment. Previous commercial kitchen or hotel experience is helpful but may not be essential. Good teamwork, attention to detail, a positive attitude and flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays are important. The successful candidate should follow workplace safety requirements and maintain consistently high cleanliness standards.
