Destination Guide

Japan offers opportunities in hospitality, tourism, marketing, technology, education, retail, and international business. Tokyo and nearby Chiba provide strong employment prospects, while Osaka, Kyoto, Okinawa, Hokkaido, and major resort areas also attract overseas workers. Japanese workplaces generally value punctuality, politeness, teamwork, hierarchy, and careful attention to service quality. Life in Japan is safe and convenient, with excellent public transport, though Tokyo-area rent and commuting costs can be high. A valid work visa is required; the employer normally sponsors an appropriate status such as Engineer/Specialist in Humanities/International Services, depending on the role and qualifications. Applicants should confirm sponsorship, salary, housing support, health insurance, taxes, and relocation assistance before accepting an offer. Basic Japanese is highly valuable for daily life, workplace communication, and customer-facing hospitality positions. Japan has four seasons, varied regional cultures, and many islands and resort destinations to explore.
