Destination Guide

Thailand offers many hospitality opportunities on islands such as Phuket, Koh Samui, Koh Phi Phi, Koh Phangan, and Koh Chang. Resorts, restaurants, diving centers, wellness businesses, and tour companies regularly recruit front-office staff, servers, chefs, housekeepers, instructors, and activity guides. Island life is relaxed and outdoor-focused, with beaches, water sports, local markets, and strong community traditions. Costs vary: Phuket and Samui are generally more expensive, while smaller islands may offer lower living costs but fewer services. Foreign nationals normally need an employer-sponsored Non-Immigrant B visa and a work permit before working legally; requirements depend on nationality and role. Thai citizens need standard employment documentation. Relocation planning should include accommodation, healthcare, transport, rainy-season conditions, and travel insurance. Bangkok-based roles offer better transport and broader career options, while island positions may provide accommodation but more seasonal employment patterns.
